Blurring the lines – a novice approach to riding on water

Through ethnographic inquiry of the author’s novice experiences riding on water, study dismisses using preformed category surfing and proposes approach to fieldwork, instead. The article discusses lines, or categorical thoughts, that researchers draw separating body from sea, surroundings experiences. discussion Georges Bataille’s famous water in related literature, author argues how lines can be blurred. further explores methodological possibility deepen future academic inquiries by examining so called non-Western thoughts perspectives.
